In the summer of 2020, Randy Sikkema began reducing his hours as a CPA and embarked on a journey to play golf in all of Iowa’s 99 counties. He soon realized he should write a book about his experiences—not only documenting Iowa’s 390 golf courses, but also the amazing “Iowa nice” people he encountered, the gorgeous natural vistas he witnessed, the uniqueness and charm of all the communities he traveled through, and the fascinating points of interest that inhabit this great state.

About the Author
Randy Sikkema was born in Morrison, Illinois, and raised by his parents, Arnie and Susan, along with his two sisters. Their farm was west of Morrison and less than ten miles east of Clinton, Iowa. After graduating high school in May 1978, he moved to Pella, Iowa, to attend Central College. While at Central, he met—and married—his wife, Tami. They have called Pella their home ever since.
Tami and Randy raised their two children, Trent and Nikki, in Pella. They are now the very proud grandparents of Gannon, Cambrie, Tinley, and Taya. Stacey and Andy complete the loving family.
