For several years I had been researching the history of the country schools of Marion County. Although many of these stories had been published in local newspapers, I felt they needed to be preserved in book form. I chose the Write Place because I had seen the quality of its work and it was located in my home town. I was able to meet personally with the editor and graphic designer to plan the unfamiliar details of publishing my first book. They were always available to promptly answer my questions or concerns. When One Room Fit All proved to be more popular than my initial order of 150 books, and their print-on-demand policy provides me with as many copies as requested within 10 days.

Publishing my book The Quiet Road was a dream that was finally realized this past year. The whole experience was very satisfying. I wanted to deal with not only a local business but people whom I could see and talk to face to face. The editor and graphic designer were very helpful throughout the process and walked me through it all, as I needed their assistance. After all, this was my first time doing any publishing. We edited a lot, we collaborated on everything from the cover to the layout and design to the font styles. The Write Place took care of getting the ISBN number and placing my book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble online. They have also featured my book signings in their newsletter.

The resulting book turned out beautifully, and I couldn’t be happier. It is very professional looking and those who are purchasing the book are impressed as well (they also like the story!). I would have no problem using the Write Place again.
