The Write Place is pleased to be recognized in this year’s Google Economic Impact Report. For the report, Google selected a small business from each state to give life to how their search and advertising programs help businesses find customers. In 2015, Google’s tools helped provide $165 billion of economic activity for 1.4 million businesses, website publishers, and non-profits nationwide.
“When I got the call from Google, I was honestly surprised—so many businesses use Google tools … I know we are just one of many,” said Write Place Manager Alexis Thomas. “It’s inspiring to read the stories of fellow small business from around the country, and we are honored to represent Iowa.”
“By connecting customers with businesses at the moment they’re searching for a good or service, our search and advertising programs help millions of businesses find customers, aid publishers in earning money from their online content, and support non-profits aiming to increase donations and volunteers,” said Margo Georgiadis, Google’s President of Americas Sales. “We’re proud to have a positive impact on so many businesses and we’re inspired by the incredible work they do across the country.”
