The Write Place is excited to welcome Rachel Flynn to our team for the summer as a content writer and proofreader.
In her role with the Write Place, Rachel supports social media content and provides writing, editing, and proofreading for business clients. “We are thrilled to add Rachel to our team,” said Manager Lexie Thomas. “Her eye for detail and strong writing skills make her a great addition.”
“I am looking forward to contributing unique input and helping businesses implement their marketing strategies,” said Flynn. “I really enjoy writing and am glad I can utilize my talents to help our clients. The Write Place boasts an impressive team—I look forward to being a part of it!”
Rachel is a 2018 graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa, with a major in communication studies and a minor in Spanish. She studied abroad at the University of London and interned at Traidcraft, one of the largest fair-trade organizations in the United Kingdom. While there, she did market research and contributed to the overall marketing strategy. Throughout her collegiate career, Rachel completed three internships, raised over $10,000 for clean water wells, and graduated summa cum laude.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys drinking coffee, reading, and traveling. She loves historical non-fiction, especially books about South Africa and World War II. Her current read is Dare Not Linger by Nelson Mandela and Mandla Langa.
